Candidates will be ranked against others in the pool using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Under CRS, points are awarded using the information in their profile relating to a job offer, a nomination from a province or territory, and skills and experience factors.
Getting into the Canada Express Entry pool doesn’t mean that you will be invited to apply for permanent residence. If you are invited to apply you still must meet all eligibility and admissibility requirements under Canada’s immigration law.
The highest ranking candidates will receive an invitation to apply under Canada Express Entry. Note that each invitation round has different instructions that are posted online at the time of the invitation round and used by the Canada Express Entry system to invite candidates from the pool.

If someone is invited to apply, they will have 90 days to submit an online application for Permanent Residency.
